So, after years of being away from the BBS scene ( I still have my old BBS on a quik80 tape somewhere ), I have setup a server and would like to learn more about the popular varients out in the tw2002 world.

I have read about the sub-zero edits, but so far I can't find anything that defines them.

In the old Tradewars, part of the fun of the game was finding this wandering planet, names Wanderer, that moved every extern. It was loaded! fighters, resources, cash. It was a real find for the newer players who didn't have a good base. Anyone know of a way to impliment that?

I am simply fishing for some good games to setup.

Well, everyone has their own personal favorites. I'm partial to Call to Battle, Genocide, and Pirates edits. Vader has a whole host of edits available on his website that you can pick and choose from.

Uh huh. You don't know what's good lamer...*g* Unfortunately, CtB and Genocide aren't available. LOTR, Killer Instinct and Moon Patrol always draw well. Star Wars is a very popular unlimited turn game.

Let me jump in here

I think edits are a secondary concern.

I see many servers settings that most of us avoid like the plague

i.e. ship delay or whatever....

IMHO this is what makes a server "popular" not what edits are.

Ok, well it sounds like there are as many opinions as there are members here. I did take a look at Black Suns site. I grabbed up a couple twa's. With Starwars being so popular right now, perhaps a starwars game will need to be banged. What I don't see, how do I use the .twa file?

To use the .twa file, with the server off go into your tedit configure and add the game(s) you want to add then close out of that and go into the command center. Highlight the game, then go to file. You will see export and import. Click on import then find where you have that particular .twa file and click on that. I have a folder made on my C drive named TWGS Games where I store my .twa files. You actually have to click import twice. After you import them, then click on the big bang icon and bang the game. Do this for any game .twa that you want to put onto your server. Once you do that, start the server and let the games begin.
