I have found that when I added a new game to the server I set the days idle to 7. I find that it changed ALL games to 7. Is this a glitch or a bug?

I went in to all the other games and tried changing the days idle edit to a variety of numbers then checked the other games and each and every time they too had changed to this new setting.

Surely ALL games don't have to have the same settings? ANy suggestions has anyone seen this before?

I'm using version .55 the setting is under general edits G item E I believe.

Thx U.N. Owen

P/S this has caused another problem players who thought they had more time have been booted due to a 7 day idle and there stuff has gone rogue is this fixable? Can I make ALL rogue stuff owned stuff?

Thx again

No, this is not a bug.

There are certain number of settings in Tedit. That are global to the Server. Meaning that they effect every game. And the days idle is just one of those global settings.

Back in version .52, I had asked JP for the possible change. Of all of those global settings, to be game specific.

And he stated that he had already planed on doing this.

As of now, if we are very very very lucky. Tthis change might be made in the v4 series of TW2002.

BTW you should upgrade to the latest version.

First , upgrade to the latest ver, 3.12 ?
Second the issue with the idle timer is because its a global setting.
meaning if its changed it will effect every game the same way on the same server. un roguing is a long process very time consumeing.
and is done in the differant tedit options.

The globals have been switched to local for v4. That, along with some other non-gameplay changes will eventually be implemented in v3 as well, after they have been tested in v4.
