You threaten to leave the game if I make certain changes. Others have already written me email telling me that they've left the game and why, because of changes that need to be made. It's a catch-22. If I'm going to adjust the game, it's going to be toward the way it was. Because like you said, this game isn't going to appeal to the modern player looking for an instant fix. This game appeals to people for what it was, and what it is today is not what it was. That's just a fact.

I am not offering it as a threat, Just stating how I feel. I have pressured you into things before ( That (A) Take all bug ) got fixed so fast cause I put pressure on you, not directly but by telling everyone how to do it..
Dont view this as the same thing. It's your game to do with as you wish..

JP there are 2 threads in the SMACK TALK section dealing with this TOPIC...
more freedom in SMACK TALK hehe

I am a bit confused JP when you say TWGS is going by the way of what it orginally was intended to do.

Now my question is this, WHAT YEAR or better yet whos philophy are you going BY, as' the ORGINAL INTENT?"

Reason I ask it that many players are NEW, prolly the majority of your current CLIENT LIST, and we have older players with LOTS OF OLD VERSION TW exp... Take my for instance, I have only played TW since OCT 2000, some of the GAME prior to that I have no reference FOR, and to be FRANK I had thought TW was ivolving, now it seems, TWGS is going BackWard to appease the WRONG GROUP OF PLAYERS.

Personally I have NO CLUE what TW was intended to be and WHAT IT REALLY IS now, another question is:

What is TW intended to play like that is SO DIFFERENT from current game play?

It scares me to lose Globals, and I am no Scripter, ya I use some KILLER scripts, but much of what I do in game is USE MACROS, and lots of globals.

Sad peeps use bugs, but I find out some of the 'USUAL PLAY' or combat results are actually BUGS..
Like killing ship and pod in same sector/attack without pod fleaing...was told to me to be a BUG, hell I always thought I was LUCKY or that speed of attack had something to do with it hehe.

Any ways...WHERE IS TW GOING...
Forward or Backward.....
I hope that your VISION for TW is what most of the current players Expect and hope for...

I consider the HVS version of TW to be the classic multiplayer version. Where this version has deviated from it, it was unintentional. But I would also say that the HVS version was incomplete, since it added realtime pacing for some events and left them out for others. Why should a ship require a certain delay to move, while a planet moves instantaneously? The original game did not account for interaction. The HVS version first introduced interactive play, and with the exception of some bugs, was considered a very well balanced game.

So yes, I see Trade Wars as going back, not forward.

JP what about the VERSION we have now..err ver 55.
I was satisifed with it, say with ONE MORE BUG fix to Eliminate the PHOTO StarDOCK bug.

I dont think I am interested in playing the HVS game, nor do I wish to GO BACKWARDS with TW.

The game has evolved way past HVS, at least my many years, many years of work you PUT IN to the Current state of TWGS.

I wish I had comparision for HVS vs todays TWGS...so I had an idea of what CHANGES you Invision for us....

I love change if its for the better :)

well the way things seem to be progressing now. I think the whole multi-player deal should be scrapped. go back to only allowing ONE player into a game at a time. that will fix EVERYTHING!

Whooo Hooooo

man won't we have fun then!
