My TWGS is running on my windows xp machine, but to access it you must telnet through my Linux firewall, I have it auto telnet to the TWGS when the user logs on under a certain name. If you set it up to make it do "Screen telnet (the ip)" scripts will not work, it's messing something up which doesn't allow the programs to parse it. It's not noticable when you play the game however.
Don't know if this is useful to anyone, but if you happen to have this setup you could use it to stop helpers from working if you wanted. I don't claim to know much about linux, I know the Screen Telnet thing is something to enable live re-connects.

What is your server address? I'm somewhat curious to test this out.

I gotta tell you, i'm extremely skeptical that you can disable scripts in this way. Your server is still sending SOMETHING to my client, and I can parse whatever it is and have a script react to the data stream. Now, sure, I believe that some particular scripts no longer work because of something you did, but this isn't a method of providing a "script-free" environment.

I agree with Cherokee.. However, If he is local and tring it.. I can think of 3 different reasons this to happen.. word of caution. IF you are going to test your own server.. do so remotely!

I don't have it set up that way anymore, I never intended for it to work that way... I'll get it set up again later on today like that, and post how to connect to it. As for why it does it I'm not exactly sure, I can tell you that telnet clients have a lot of settings forced to them when using ansi, it may interfere with one of them. Visually however I can not tell a difference, though J-Twat,Twar, and Swath are all confirmed by myself and friends playing to not work set up that way.
Well anyway in a few hrs I'll post back to this topic with address and log on to my linux server that enables it.
