Someone probably entered a sector, got photoned, and retreated off of the enemy fig. They then realized they weren't photoned anymore. Incidentally, if you have a corpie with similar alignment, you can drop a corp fig, drop corp, exit, enter, retreat, rejoin corp.

Tactic question: Does anyone know if in the first senario (unlimited turn game), if you enter a sector fleeing an attacker, hit a mine and have your photon det, and the attacker follows you in... assuming that the attacker enters the sector BEFORE the photon dets (say with a script / macro / trigger), would THEY be affected with the time delay even though you would not????

No. When a photon is fired, everyone in the target sector is affected unless they are on a planet with at least 200 shields. When a photon detonates, only you are affected.

photons are bugged as hell in unlims.
one main reason i hate unlims.
lots of cheap things you can do to move again.

well there are those of us who have no life at all and are online when most everyone else is sleeping or doing something productive and well ya get a little bored and next thing you know you start wondering what happens if you do this or try that and that is how alot of those really difficult bugs get figured out....

didn't read all the post on this, but from My xp, when the game is unlimited photons do not affect u when set off by nav haz or mines, but in any turn game be 800 or 65k, it takes turns till top of the hour, I've seen it on different servers and different edits, in unlimited Photons do not even slow u down cause of nav or mines, only when shot at u, and I think like a 4 sec photon stops u like 4 minutes... not sure on that, I try to avoid them or fire them....
