I'm an old timer. I'll bet that some of the People around here remember me. I am Master Blaster. In my day, I was a pretty good player but dropped out for many years. I played this game in the early years on BBS's with the astronomical phone bills from calling all over the country for hours at a time. You know, the "only 1 player at a time" door games?

Well, I'm back and I'm totally befuddled.

I am setting up a small BBS (synchronet) and I am trying to get the TWGS setup to work with it. I can't figure out how to telnet out to the server with synchronet and I can't find any info on it anywhere. Is it possible and if so, how is it done (step by step please, setting up a BBS is a new venture for me as it is) and if it's not, how can I get a copy of the 3.09 version (tried dloading it and get corrupted zip files)

As soon as I can get it to work, I'll be buying my licenses and re-opening the Blaster Ltd "Evil Commander" corp again to raise havoc within our universes....

Get ahold of Toad of Toadville. He uses Synchronet on his games, and he should be able to help you figure it out. his server is at telnet://toadville.dns2go.com he should be able to help on the Synchronet hook up. You should use the RLogin in config on the TWGS for the BBS to log Players in from the BBS to the TWGS.It will use their login to the Synchronet to the TWGS. I hope this helps you in finding out how to hook it up. Toad should know for sure. If the server is not up then go to his web site and Email him. Its in Google.

I don't know about the TWGS version, but if you need it I have a copy of the 3.09 version. I setup a Sync BBS (haven't opened it yet due to computer issues), simply because I wanted all the old BBS games.
