I just started a game last night, and was checking out 1 - 10 when an alien warped in to sector 2 that was red. I decided to attack with 10 figs and see if I could get a little align. I got 3 exp points from it, but he attacked me. Are you not fed safe from aliens? I know that if I am fed safe and I attack a trader that he can not attack me back unless I get to 1000 exp. I only had 3 exp. Just checking. Thanks

First the rules for fed space are different for NPC and Players, how ever if you attack anyone,NPC or player in fed space it doesnt matter what level you are, you are subject to retalitory strikes with out the protection of the federation.

Actually, this isn't correct. You were right about an alien, they can attack you anywhere anytime, no matter your align or exp. However, a player can not attack you in fedspace if you are under 1000 exp and have align >= 0. You can attack them all you want, but until you get to 1000 exp or go red, they can't hit you back.
