Just downloaded the twgs 55, and trying to install it under win 2k.
The setup runs, but does nothing - wont install, no errors, shows up in the task list.
Anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks

I have Win2K as well, and just installed TWGS 55. At first, I couldn't get a game to show up in the list when I telnet'ed into my box nor could I get it to bang or anything. I eventually uninstalled and reinstalled again, and finally I am able to get things to work. If you let me know what you have done exactly I may be of some assistance.
Now I am just waiting for my registration codes to show up so I can actually do some serious damage with some friends of mine. Anyone know the average lag time between paying via paypal & sending the registration e-mail and actually getting the codes?

After the file is downloaded, I cannot get it to execute to install. It extracts the files, but the setup.exe fails to run.
54 extracts just fine, and setup installs.
(now I am searching disks from long, long ago to find my keys..)

I have W2K Advance Server. And I have TWGS running on it with out any problems. well, except that TWGS enterfears with 16bit, or hybrid (16bit & 32&), installation programs.
It is best to install TWGS as the administrator. Even though you can install it on any account. It is best under the administrator. I have been running my TWGS server under W2K AS for a couple of years now. So I can really help you.
From what it sounds like. Is that you have a program, that is currently running, not leting the twgs setup to load up and run. I would shut down your currently running programs, one at a time. Including those in the background, and those running as a service. Until you find the one that causing this problem.
