1) Does PORTINIT.EXE restock all ports to 100%?
2) Can it be run during a game?
3) Where do I find it? It is not in any of the installed directories.
4) Can I edit the list of port names? If so, what how?

Thanks!!

1. ports regenerate during the game.
2. If you use t-edit I think you can
3. click on command center. then click Editors tab. then (P)
4. not sure what you are asking here. you want to make your own names for the ports?

PORTINIT.EXE is utilized by the game to initialize/reinitialize ports. I don't suggest running this executable from outside the game.

rave sent me a clarification to post regarding portinit.exe.

portinit.exe is no longer part of the distribution file and the reference to the executible found in the port editor is a carryover from v2 of the game. portinit.exe has been replaced with makeport.exe, which is used to rebuild the port name list. so portinit.exe is no longer found in the v3 distribution package and makeport.exe will not restock your ports.

if you want to keep your ports fully stocked try setting the port regeneration rate to 100% or 200%. that setting is found in one of the general editor screens. not sure which one.
