I noticed that in a particular game I am playing there are hundreds of thousands of alien figs all over the freakin place. I just thought the aliens were really aggressive. But then I noticed that after I placed a toll fig at a class 0 port, an alien destroyed it and placed 50k offensive figs there. So my question is. Is it a coincedence that the alien placed those figs there like that or were they actually countering my move in to put a fig there? and if so is this a result of the aliens suppressing other aliens setting in twgs?

Aliens will replace player fighters with their own fighters depending on the Gold Alien settings. I'm not sure if this carries over to replacing other alien fighters. I've personally not seen an alien replace one player fig with 50k figs, but I'm sure if they're allowed to become powerful enough then they'd probably do so.

I seen it happen the other day and the alien that did wasn't in a ship that could hold 50k figs.

Most games I've seen with agressive aliens this happens a lot. 50k bundles all over the place.
