I am trying to add a fifth alien race and keep getting this in my error log.
TWerror log initialized 05/07/2002 04:00:49 AM
NONPSERV 3.11.55 05/07/2002 04:03:58 AM AbEnd:
EC=31 Addr=00487693
Floating point division by zero
Any suggestions as to what may be causing this.

Is this every time you start the alien server?

Simply download revision .54 and install it over the top of .55. In most cases that should work fine. The question here is whether that will actually correct the problem you're experiencing. If the gold alien data has somehow gotten corrupted, then backstepping to .54 won't solve the problem.
Revision .55 didn't include any changes to the non-player (alien) server, so I honestly don't believe that upgrading from .54 to .55 is the problem. (If they worked fine under .54 they should be just as stable under .55 since there were no changes made.)
If you do decide to backstep to .54, I suggest making a copy of the game directory in the Trade Wars installation directory. Installing .54 over .55 should cause no problems, but it's always better to be safe than sorry. Also, let me know if this solves the problem. If it doesn't the likely cause could be data corruption (as mentioned above).
