PLEASE NOTE: I have -no- confirmation that this is actually a server related problem, or if a problem actually exists outside of these two reports that happen to share the same symptoms and the same problem date.

I'm not sure about this at the moment, but there -may- be a date related issue when trying to boot TWGS on November 10th (today). Last year on November 11th a sysop reporting having a problem with TWGS initializing winsock and receiving a page fault error. Server wouldn't load. The error first appeared for that sysop on November 10th, 2001, but was first reported the following day. The problem was never resolved, and I'm not sure if it self-corrected later. This was the only such report that I've heard of until today (November 10th).

Another Sysop contacted me this morning with the exact same problem as the one reported that occurred a year ago.

This could be coincidence (one in 365 that the same exact problem is reported on the same exact day and those days are the -only- records of this problem occuring), however, if you're running a heavily used server I'd suggest you try to avoid shutting it down today.

For the record, I haven't had any problem loading up my server, but better safe than sorry, eh?

Disregard the earlier warning. There's no date-related TWGS issue at work here. Nothing more than coincidence regarding two similar problems being reported on the same date a year apart.

But better safe that sorry...
