I am currently running TWGS on win 2k pro with no problems. Never had a problem with installing it but once installed I did have a problem with other programs not wanting to load as long as the TWGS was running. I would try hitting Ctrl Alt Del and see what other things are running, maybe something else is interfering with it installing. Also are you installing it under Administrator or a regular user login. I think you may have to run it under Administrator to get it to install correctly then make it available to all user logins. May not be much help but its worth a try, I am new to win 2k also.

Just a couple of ideas from my own experience:
1. Don't try to install it off of a CD. If you have it on CD copy the file to your hard drive and remove the read-only flag
2. If for some reason it failed the first time (ie. tried to install it from CD or the file was flagged read-only) a temporary file is left behind. As long as that file remains in the same directory as the installer it will never be able to install until it is removed.

It could also be a permissions issue. Run the setup as an account with Administrator access. Win2K Pro has tighter security than ME does.
I have TWGS on Win2K Server, but I have other issues, like the games lock up after a few hours of running. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and running Bigbang again, but no luck. If I unload TWGS and reload it, everything is fine for a few hours.
